I love the tiny flower detail on sedum heads.
Almost like lace in some ways.
I also love the different hues they come in from near white.
To deep pink.
They'll be finished soon for this year though :(
The recent sunny weather has brought the pelargoniums into a second round of flowering.
And today was a pleasantly sunny day with good light for taking pictures in the garden.
So here's shocking pink pelargoniums in all their glory.
If only I could get them to grow in my window boxes but I don't think they get enough sun to do well on our north east facing windowsills.
Eric kitten has developed a liking for lounging in unusual places
This is where I found him yesterday
He's mad that one, mad....The garden is a curious mix of wintery-ness and one tree thats still has almost all its leaves and all are still green, its not an evergreen its a cherry plum tree and i'm not sure why its taking so long to shed its leaves this year I don't recall it being so slow other years.
Anyway here's some pictures of leaves, snow and icicles....all taken within the space of 10 minutes this morning
Huge icicle on neighbours guttering, its melting fast though. Logs, snow and leaves. Cherry plum tree still in leaf. Melting snow.
Row on row of pots awaiting planting.....
I spotted these yesterday in the amazing walled garden at Copped Hall near Epping. It's a fantastic place.
I took lots of pictures so watch out for more highlights from this 18C manor that's in the process of being restored.
It really truly is fascinating. Go if you can.
Despite trying all sorts of methods to keep the snails off our already low yielding crops this year, sometimes the snails just win.
Like this one munching on a runner bean.
Grrrr.....Not sure if thats a good or a bad thing for a bay tree but it looks quite pretty.
